penny wise,or greed

I was tought that greed was a sin,Like envy or lust ect...
I don't understand why people who can afford thing's chose to compete with those who can't.Why they shop for only bargains.I'm not talking about the middle class here,I'm talking about the 100k plus people who would drive across town to buy a six pack of beer on sale or save two cent's on a gallon of gas.I know at the end of the year you might save a hundred dollar's or more but eventually you will only have one store one gas station selling cheap junk at high prices.
There is a reason it's a sin.It's because it's hurting other's and finaly yourself..

What? Those people are actually trying to save money? I've never heard of such a thing. How selfish. They need to spend more than they have to. As a matter of fact, it should be a law. If you make over 100K, you must buy the most expensive stuff, from milk, bread, and beer, to houses and cars. If there is a sale on beer, you can't buy it from that store. When you go in to buy a new car, there will be no dickering....pay top dollar.

It's the right thing to do...according to the previous poster. I don't know why, but I just have this sneaking suspicion that this same person voted for Obama. Just sayin'..

I don't understand the first post. Just because someone makes over a 100k a year doesn't mean they're stupid. I don't care who you are, you still need to find the best deal..

Sounds to me more like the person above is struggling in retail. It's a legit point to make in tough times. I know personally that I have balked at some of the prices in town, and either ordered online or bought in Havre instead. Not sure how my habits would change if I made 100k.

As for your assumption that above poster (gasp!) voted for Obama, I seem to remember a certain 43rd president who also spent at record levels and tried telling me it was my patriotic duty to go shopping....

The point I was making was the old and tiresome "class warfare" the original poster was using that has been used by the Dems (aka Socialists) for the past 40 years. It is laughable how the lefties always say, "well Bush did this" or "Bush did that"....Good argument, irrelevant, but good. .

I find this most interesting!
The first post may start with the stores
and argue with them for putting things on
sale to draw business in, but also create
competition. Competition is good. Secondly,
a smart shopper is going to buy what they
want and need where they can get the most
for their money. Makes sense or shall we
say CENTS! Fianally, if the person from the
first post goes to sell anything they have,
their car, their house, will they be willing
to except bottom dollar and no profit from
the sale? I don't think so..
